After centuries of absorbing international influences, the Philippines' architecture draws upon the Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia to create a style all its own. Adjusting these ideas to a tropical environment, Filipino designers have created a bold esthetic. Filipino Style gives an overview of the traditional Filipino house, the influence of foreign cultures, the environment's importance to home design, and finally the embrace of modernity. Insightful and beautifully photographed, Filipino Style provides wonderful design ideas from this lush island archipelago.

We ended up using mini-penne as its easier for jarron to eat.
here's our modified recipe:
5 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 medium onion, diced
1 lb of pasta
1/2 lb of hot dogs (about 4 dogs)
1 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 12 oz. bottle of jufran
1 lb of ground chicken (or beef, or pork)
in a sauce pan, cook garlic in olive oil, then add diced onions. cook until onions are clear. add ground meat, and brown the meat. once meat is brown, drain the excess fat, then mix jufran with tomato sauce (may need a half cup or so of water to water down the jufran) and then reduce the mix. meanwhile, boil the hot dogs for 5 minutes to cook them, and then cut them up and mix in the sauce. cook the noodles, and then mix them all together. add cheese to your liking.
Happy Sunday!! Breakfast ... Filipino Style :-)
I know I've taken several of this type of "breakfast" shots before but what can I say when I'm so addicted to taking food pictures. As I was getting my glass of juice to put on the table, the hubs said "hurry up, go get the camera" . . . I know he was being a smart a$$ about it. :-) Anyhoo, this was today's breakfast . . . your typical Filipino Style breakfast with longinisa (Filipino sweet sausages), eggs, fried garlic rice and I always have some sort of veggie . . . sliced cucumbers & tomatoes in seasoned vinegar and olive oil. We have this about once a month . . . not even. There are times we even have this for dinner . . . ;-)
